Contract – Direct Marketing Graphic Designer – Part Time
Sage Communications, an award-winning creative agency that delivers breakthrough results for leading financial companies, national nonprofits, and publishers, is looking for a part- time graphic designer to join our growing team! This is a fully remote contract position for 15-20 hours a week.
We are looking for someone who can work on a regular, set schedule each week. The ideal candidate has 10+ years’ experience designing print and digital direct marketing campaigns and B2B/B2C sales collateral.
Specifically, the Part Time Graphic Designer will:
- Design multi-component direct mail packages, email campaigns, landing pages, digital ads, social posts, one-pagers, PowerPoint decks, and sales collateral.
- Participate in client kickoffs and ask relevant questions to ensure the designer understands the specific campaign’s strategy, goals, and deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with Senior Copywriters and Senior Art Directors to produce high-level creative that is rooted in our clients’ brands.
- See jobs from start-to-finish, including making various rounds of client and proofreader edits, creating additional versions, and ensuring final product meets all requirements.
- Work with vendors to get specs and any raw files needed to complete the jobs.
- Hand off jobs to Sage’s in-house production (direct mail or digital) team.
- Use Asana to track and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and stay on schedule.
- Develop a strong understanding of the brand guidelines and requirements.
- Ensure high quality control on all jobs.
- May be asked to present creative concepts/PDFs to clients.
- May act as the client liaison on jobs they are assigned and communicate with the client on deliverables.
Qualifications:
- You have 10+ years’ graphic design experience.
- Portfolio including B2B/B2C direct marketing and/or fundraising samples.
- You are proficient in the latest versions of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat.
- You are adept in designing for both print and digital campaigns and have a strong understanding of direct mail specs, production, and mobile-first design.
- You have experience working with complex visual identity guidelines.
- You are detail-oriented and produce error-free work.
- You have excellent organizational skills and can juggle multiple projects at once while keeping quality high and meeting deadlines.
- You collaborate and have strong communication skills.
- Experience working at an agency or on an in-house marketing team is a plus.
